What is Your Team’s Next Conversation?
Between us, we have over 60 years of experience working in teams, leading teams, and more recently, coaching teams. Since 2012, our work with teams has been informed by the work of Bob Dunham of the Institute of Generative Leadership, with a specific focus on the 10 Constitutive Conversations of Teams.
We will introduce a survey based on these 10 conversations, review what we have learned from our experiences using the survey, and point to some future possibilities.
As a result of this presentation, you will:
- Have an appreciation for how CEO principles and distinctions impact our work with teams
- Learn how using a conversation framework in the Team Conversation Survey can help create a path forward for teams
- Gain evidence on which conversations teams generally conduct well and where they struggle the most
Meet the Facilitators
Richard Hews,
Organizational Leadership & Change Coach
Richard Hews is an organizational leadership and change coach whose passion is to help leaders realize their organization’s vision in ways that both inspire and develop employees. He is the founder of Pathways of Growth.
Richard’s work is born out of over 30 years of executive leadership and management experience in the UK and US in pharmaceutical research and development in the disciplines of statistics, project management, and strategic management. This included building a department responsible for clinical program statistical design, analysis and databases that supported the development of billion-dollar therapies. Richard also led multidisciplinary change initiatives targeting the performance of drug development.
He is a Newfield Network and Strozzi Institute trained coach and graduated from the CEO Program in 2015.
Bob Moore,
Coach & Consultant
Bob Moore is a coach and consultant working with leaders and teams in the pharmaceutical R&D space to help them coordinate their actions and manage powerful commitments to meet unmet patient needs.
Bob has held a number of Clinical Research positions from information management, clinical IT, process management to global R&D portfolio operations. His work with teams started early in his career where he was able to integrate his personal coaching development into his executive responsibilities (e.g. high-performance facilitation, creative problem solving, etc.). He has led and/or coached numerous enterprise-level improvement projects both within his pharma leadership role, and since 2007, as an independent coach and consultant.
He is certified in Creative Problem Solving and completed year 1 of the CEO program in 2012.
Bob Dunham,
Institute for Generative Leadership Co-Founder
Bob Dunham has worked since 1981 as an executive, consultant, educator, and coach to executives, management teams, and coaches worldwide in Leadership, communication, teamwork, and people process redesign. He is the founder of the Institute for Generative Leadership (IGL), which has affiliates in India and Latin America.
