Creating Impact with Purpose Series
Video 2: Getting to Know Your S.E.L.P.H.
If you haven’t watched the first video of the Creating Impact with Purpose Series, you can watch it here.
In this second video, Andrea Bordenca speaks about how your body can get in the way of clear intention. When you become aware of how your physiology is conditioned to react, you can shift from reaction to intentional response. She also takes a look at SELPH and how you can create a new SELPH when you enter into new roles or step into different phases of life.
We’d love to hear your thoughts! What new questions are showing up for you? Please share below your takeaways, what is being provoked, and the areas that you are not yet quite sure about.
Ian, I am looking forward to getting to know you at the upcoming FGL workshop. If you are open, I would love to co-design some practices that can serve you in creating a strategy that is coherent with the outcome you aspire to produce. I had experiences of contracting when I was in conversations with certain clients and engaged in a practice that served me well, I am happy to share with you when we are together. I am also available prior if you would like to reach out to me to schedule some time at abordenca@generativeleadership.co
Learning to be aware of the stories we tell ourselves, like in your example of practicing eye contact, is useful.
Thank you, Shawn. I am very grateful that you have taken the time to take a look and to provide me feedback. My heart is happy <3
Andrea,
I enjoyed listening and learning from your teaching. I look forward to learn more and practice. Great
Juan, thank you for reaching out to let me know. I appreciate others who are open to learning and practice. I hope to see you at one of our upcoming webinars and/or workshops!
Great post. I really like this acronym of SELPH. I’ll start using it. I see that you used it in the following sequence: PHSEL. I look forward to learning more.
T! Thank you for this – I love seeing you here! Thank you for being open to the learning and for taking the time to check in here!
I have a story or somatic response consistent with the story that it is not safe for me to make phone calls or initiate certain conversations. This particularly applies when I am going to make requests of people such as requesting a meeting to explore possibilities for working together. This is an area of my life that I am
committed to transforming. I can see and get a little excited by the possibility that calling could be easy or at least done frequently without much anxiety.
