Declare Yourself as a Beginner
This year, we launched a Landing Zone Series. If you missed the first one, that is okay! These are designed to work as stand-alone sessions. In April, my team and I will guide you on Grounding and Receiving Assessments. We will explore the topic (and provide a practice) for Giving and Receiving Assessments.
Here at IGL, we have been talking a lot about how to support our community in incorporating leadership embodiment practices as a daily sacred ritual. Recently, IGL Global Directorate Chairperson and IGL Founder, Bob Dunham, shared that the biggest barrier is learning to learn through practice. So, let’s practice together!
A place to practice daily is by paying attention to conversations. At our Foundations for Generative Leadership (FGL) workshop, we set the stage for this. If you have not attended an FGL, we practice paying attention to and being intentional about the conversations we are in. This is one way we help practice awareness and come back from the drift. It is our way of supporting the path to leadership mastery – by building the habit of observing so we can take new action and get more satisfying results.
The landing zone is a place to take our generative learning to solid ground. It is like when a plane lands, before the stability of the ground is felt, there is a bit of turbulence. And just like finding a firm ground, many of us enter into a new phase, a new relationship, a new role, or any new situation with a bit of shakiness. This is all a part of the learning process.
During this webinar, we are inviting you to a community of practice!
We will explore how to give and receive assessments so we can build conversational power.
We will provide private breakouts so participants can partner up and practice, and we will open up a group conversation to hear multiple perspectives.
