It can be as simple as offering a daily prayer to the earth, to the ancestors, or to the tree branch outside your window.

When we are somatically embodied—our mind, body, and spirit are one—we are intricately entwined into a divine unity. Not just within the confines of our physical body, but our whole being is in unity with a much larger energy field of our cosmic reality.

As practitioners, we have been focusing on somatics as “our” (us humans’) body/mind/spirit, one somatic person at a time. Ariana has done it this way for much of her career too. It’s only been in the last few years that nature has handed her the “duhh” card. We cannot truly succeed in healing our clients, one person at a time, if we are not addressing the somatics of their environment. More importantly, if we are not connecting the healing of humans with the healing of the earth, true healing, true somatic balance does not occur.
